An education that goes
beyond the textbook.
At DWPS Samba, academics are rigorous, child-centric and alive. We follow the CBSE curriculum guided by the National Curriculum Framework 2005 — but our classrooms are places of curiosity, not memorisation.
Our curriculum philosophy
"Teaching aims at enhancing the child's innate desire to learn — not filling a vessel, but kindling a flame."
The DWPS curriculum follows the National Curriculum Framework 2005 and CBSE guidelines, but it goes further. We believe every classroom experience must be child-centric — organised so that children construct knowledge through activity, inquiry and real-world connection, not through rote repetition.
Six academic objectives
Shift teaching away from rote methods toward deeper understanding
Enrich curriculum to go beyond textbooks at every level
Link classroom learning to life outside school
Make examinations flexible and integrated with classroom life
Direct classroom experience toward citizenship, equality and compassion
Provide equal learning opportunities for every child

Wonderland — where learning begins
Our pre-primary wing follows the Maria Montessori philosophy — recognising each child's uniqueness and supporting their all-round development through a child-centric environment. Specially designed Montessori labs encourage exploration, experimentation and self-confidence.
The curriculum focuses on communication skills, English-speaking confidence, social skills and cognitive development through play, imagination and guided activity. Every child progresses at their own natural pace.
Primary
Classes I – V
Ages 6–10
Building the foundation
The primary years are the most formative in a child's education. DWPS provides a rich, stimulating and caring environment where children feel happy, confident and eager to learn. Our focus is on broad-based development — cognitive, social, emotional, cultural and physical.
Activity is at the heart of learning at this stage. Children express themselves, handle objects, explore the natural and social world around them and grow in good health. SMART classrooms transform learning into a comprehensive, analytic and research-based experience from the earliest stages.
Middle School
Classes VI – VIII
Ages 11–13
Becoming expressive & confident
The middle years mark a paradigm shift in teaching and learning at DWPS. Children become more expressive and confident individuals. Having formed a strong primary foundation, students are given freedom of thought and expression — discovering where their interests truly lie.
Creativity and innovation become the keywords. Students work beyond the confines of the classroom through projects, inter-disciplinary learning and peer tutoring. Digital literacy is embedded across all subjects. Life skills and leadership activities are introduced at this stage.
Secondary
Classes IX – X · CBSE
Ages 14–15
Gateway to excellence
Secondary education at DWPS is where students build on their strong foundation — empowered with linguistic capability, leadership skills and social awareness. Counselling and guidance sessions help students make informed decisions about their future academic direction.
CBSE Board examinations for Classes IX and X are prepared for systematically and with confidence. DWPS students consistently achieve results that reflect genuine understanding, not merely exam preparation. Scholarships are awarded for academic excellence and community spirit.
Senior Secondary
Classes XI – XII · CBSE
Ages 16–17
The gateway to professional life — three streams
Science

Arts
Our senior secondary faculty are specialists in board and competitive exam preparation. They teach problem-solving, critical thinking and core subject mastery — equipping students to succeed in CBSE, JEE, NEET, CLAT and beyond.
Co-curricular activities
Essential — not extra
At DWPS, co-curricular activities are considered an essential part of education — not a bonus that happens after the real work is done. Sport, music, drama, debate and service learning are woven into the rhythm of every school week.
